Save the Date! November 27 is Small Business Saturday in Scranton
As part of Scranton Tomorrow's Light Up Downtown Scranton holiday campaign, Downtown Scranton businesses will celebrate Small Business Saturday on November 27 to encourage everyone in the community to support locally-owned businesses this holiday season.
What is Small Business Saturday?
Small Business Saturday is a day to support local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy, and preserve neighborhoods around the country. American Express created this national movement to increase sales for small businesses across the country. Downtown Scranton shops and restaurants have participated in Small Business Saturday for more than a decade. When you shop small, your purchases make a big impact on the local economy.
Where can I find participating businesses?
Participating businesses will offer special promotions and unique gifts in dozens of shops and eateries in the Downtown Scranton Business District, including:
Spread the joy!
Shoppers are encouraged to spread the joy on social media using #shopsmall, #smallbiz, #shoplocal.
Don't stop now - we're just getting started!
Shopping small doesn't end with Small Business Saturday because local shops and eateries are participating in 'Tis the Season Sundays and Cyber Monday, too!
