Dear Members of the Scranton Community,
During this challenging time, members of the small business community in Downtown Scranton are altering how they conduct business, and in some cases, modifying their business models completely. Daily face-to-face interaction has ceased in our local boutiques, eateries and pubs, and business owners are crafting new ways to engage and serve their customers and clients in compliance with CDC guidelines to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Scranton Tomorrow continues to support the Downtown Scranton small business community, and we are working on their behalf to share resources, emergency funding information, and commerce updates. We’re coordinating with our community and economic development partners as we proactively plan for the re-opening of our Downtown in the weeks to come.
Our Facebook page is a resource for those who live and work in Downtown Scranton. We will continue to share details on the status of local businesses as information becomes available to us. Our followers see continuous updates as businesses modify their structures and hours of operations. We’re providing details on which businesses are open, which businesses are changing their hours, and which restaurants and pubs are providing curbside pick-up and delivery services.
Our small business community is rising to this challenge, and they need our support. We encourage everyone to buy local first — from purchasing online gift cards, to placing take-out orders and sharing updates on social media.
In this ever-changing environment, Downtown Scranton business owners are welcome, and encouraged, to consult with us. Please feel free to email Leslie Collins, Executive Director of Scranton Tomorrow, at leslie@scrantontomorrow.org or call 570.963.5901.
