First Night Scranton 2008 General Information
TIME
First Night Scranton 2008 will take place on New Year's Eve,
Monday December 31,
2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight.
ADMISSION
The First Night Scranton 2008 admission button gives you unlimited admission to our 20+ venues of performances, artists and special events.
Buttons
are $8 if purchased before December 25, and $10 if purchased after
December 25 or on the night of the event. Children under 5 are free.
The button price pays for the First Night Celebration, including the performances of the hundreds of artists, musicians, dancers,
writers, actors, community groups, and ensembles.

Buttons are available NOW at various locations throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Buttons will also be available for sale at First Night Scranton 2008
at the Mall at Steamtown, and at event headquarters, located at the William J. Nealon Federal Building, 235 N. Washington Avenue.
WEATHER
First Night Scranton 2008 will go on...rain, shine, or snow! Most performance sites are indoor venues, so the event will not be cancelled due to weather. Please remember to dress for the weather as you move from venue to venue!
TRANSPORTATION
Wear your walking shoes...First Night Scranton 2008 encompasses several Downtown Scranton blocks. Free Trolley shuttles will also be available.
PARKING
All Downtown parking garages are open, as well as on-street parking.
Casey Garage - Lackawanna Avenue & Adams Avenue
Medallion Garage - 100-Block Adams Avenue
Electric City Garage - 300-Block Spruce Street
Linden Street Garage - Linden Street & North Washington Avenue
Mall at Steamtown - Lackawanna Avenue
FIRST DINNER
Food and refreshments will be provided at various First Night venues, as well as from on-street vendors.
Many Downtown restaurants will also be open.
